There are a number of aquaculture conferences taking place towards the end of the year. We have been approached by the organisers and asked to share the information amongst our members. Please take note of the following:
The 11th Conference of the Aquaculture Association of Southern Africa Aquaculture, takes place from 9 to 13 September 2013 – Stellenbosch. This year the conference seems to be focusing on the aquaculture value chain with the theme, ‘Fish Farm to Plate’. More info at http://www.aasa-aqua.co.za/site/conferences/
The 10th International Symposium on Tilapia in Aquaculture, takes place from 6 to 10 October 2013 – Jerusalem, Israel. There is an optional tour to several fish farms specialising in tilapia culture in the Bet Shean Valley, which should be interesting. More info at http://www.ista10.com/home1.html
To the Next 40 Years of Sustainable Global Aquaculture, takes place from 3-7 November 2013 - Las Palmas, Gran Canaria (Canary Islands). This conference seems to have a strong scientific focus that will look at future developments in aquaculture. More info at http://www.aquaculture-conference.com/index.html
If you are planning to attend any of these, please let us know as we would be appreciative of any feedback that we can share with members.
